About Us

For the past 26 years, American Dental Care has been providing gentle and understanding dental care to its patients in the Orange Park and Jacksonville area. In fact, the practice is locally owned and operated by Orange Park residents.

"The theme of our practice is sensible, down-to-earth dentistry," said Dr. Richard Pearson, a Temple University graduate who has delivered quality dental care with Dr. Marilyn Pearson, who is also a Temple University graduate.

Each doctor at American Dental Care has their own specific abilities to ensure you are receiving the best overall care. For example, Dr. Richard Pearson specializes in dentures, extractions and partials while Dr. Marilyn Pearson focuses more on crowns, bridges and cosmetic dentistry. However, general dentistry procedures, such as root canals and X-rays are available, as well.

What truly makes American Dental Care stand out is its on-site denture lab. This allows for very fast working and turn-around times on all denture production.

"Because we have an on-site lab, we can do same-day re-lines and repairs on dentures," Dr. Richard Pearson said. "It would probably take weeks without a lab."

This amenity is especially important to American Dental Care since many of its patients, which include many senior citizens, require immediate attention if their dentures fracture. Besides the convenience of an on-site lab, American Dental Care also offers a wear-resistant premium denture, an acrylic denture that is more wear and fracture resistant.

"We also have a special tooth that we can put on their dentures that has an extra white shade, and we also do whitening services."

American Dental Care also proudly provides dental services for veterans and those processing out of the military who recently returned home from Iraq or Afghanistan. As a former dentist for the United States Air Force, Dr. Richard Pearson is honored to provide dental care such as discharge exams to fellow former or active military members.

"It's just a more tangible way to show your support for the troops," Dr. Richard Pearson said.
